Your NYC apartment. For exactly the months you need.
Tell us what you're looking for and we'll match you with flexible rentals that actually fit your dates.
For the awkward gap between Airbnb and a 12-month lease.
Available when you actually need it.
Most listings are a start date and a shrug. We only show places whose availability covers your whole stay, and we say so on every card.
Stop opening apartments only to discover the dates don't work.
Tell us. We match. You meet. You close.

Meet the lister
When the lister is interested too, we introduce you. Ask questions, tour the place and decide if it's right for you.
Oct 1 works. The building already approved a four-month sublet.
Great. Could I see it Thursday evening?

We show you what we've verified, and what we haven't.
ID verification proves who someone is. It doesn't prove they're allowed to rent the apartment. We ask about both, and we say which is which.

Someone may already be looking for your exact dates.
Short answers.
How long can I rent?
Flexible NYC stays starting around 30 days. Availability and the rules that apply vary by property and rental type; most of what we see is one to six months.
What can I find?
Entire apartments, private rooms, furnished rentals, sublets, lease takeovers and some owner-direct flexible rentals.
How do matches work?
We compare your dates, budget, area, home type and preferences against places available for your actual dates. The dates and price are a hard filter. Everything else is ranking, and we explain why each place made the list.
Are listings verified?
We review selected listing information and show verification status on each listing: identity, dates, relationship to the apartment, building approval and address. We show what we've verified and what we haven't.
Does it cost anything?
It's free to submit a housing request. If that ever changes, it will be clear before you're charged anything.
I'm coming from abroad. Do I need a US credit history or a Social Security number?
No. Neither is required to submit a request, and many listers accept alternatives: an employer or offer letter, school enrollment, bank statements, a guarantor service, or prepaid rent. Tell us what you can show and we match you with listers whose requirements fit. Each lister still decides what's enough for them.
What neighborhoods?
We're starting in NYC, with the strongest initial coverage in Manhattan. Brooklyn and Queens listings exist but are thinner for now.
Is this a broker?
Subverify is a matching service, not a licensed real estate broker. We introduce renters and listers whose requests fit; the rental itself is between you and the lister, subject to the lease, the building and housing law.
